In this segment on WFEA’s The Morning Update, host Jeff Chidester speaks with representatives from the Humane Society of Greater Nashua, Jennifer LeBlanc and Olivia Echteler, to highlight their annual signature fundraiser, the Wags to Whiskers Festival. Scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Historic Holman Stadium in Nashua, the dog-friendly community festival raises vital funds for shelter animals awaiting adoption.  

Event Highlights & Shelter Impact

  • Family & Pet Activities: The afternoon features K9 unit demonstrations, games and prizes for kids, local vendors, raffles, and concessions.  
  • On-Site Pet Adoptions: Attendees can visit the Humane Society adoption tent to meet pets looking for loving homes.  
  • Direct Shelter Support: Proceeds from ticket sales and activities directly support the food, medical care, and enrichment animals in the shelter’s care need as they await placement.  

The interview showcases how local support keeps the shelter operational while offering families and pet lovers a full day of entertainment in Nashua.
