Military/Foreign Expert Steven Bucci: USA Building Stronger Ties in Africa

“Nigeria carries a tremendous strategic weight. Its land mass, enormous population, and large military make it a natural anchor from West Africa to the rest of the world.”

As China gains greater influence on the continent of Africa, is there a role and an opening for the USA to strength realtionships on the continent?

Recently, President Trump ordered an attack to repel the jihadist terrorist that have found a foothold in the country of Nigeria.

We are joined by a 30-year veteran of the US Army Special Forces, former Under Secretary of Defense Steven Bucci, to discuss his recent article on the significant impact of President Trump’s military action against terrorists.  The USA’s actions to aid the Nigerian government provides an opportunity for a closer diplomatic partnership to strengthen Nigeria’s democracy.
