The rumor is that former popular NH Governor John Lynch’s daughter, Julia Williams, is considering a gubernatorial run of her own. Still, she may face several issues that would prevent it.
Reporter Damian Fisher of the New Hampshire Journal reports that Julia Williams may run into an issue under New Hampshire’s candidate residency requirement. Candidates must reside in the state for 7 consecutive years (Williams lived in Massachusetts until November of 2019).
Williams’ residency may also come into question, as she lived in Massachusetts until 2019 yet voted by absentee ballot in NH’s 2018 midterm.
