January 2026 Roundtable: Everything You Wanted to Know About Veteran’s, But Were Afraid to Ask

“Let us remember the service of our veterans, and let us renew our national promise to fulfill our sacred obligations to our veterans and their families who have sacrificed so much so that we can live free.”

New Hampshire is home to over 90,000 veterans and has maintained a strong connection to military service through the state and the nation’s history.

For people who have never served in the military, this will provide a better understanding of why people join, what their servcies was like, what they miss about the services, and what it was like to transition from the military back to the ‘civillan world.’

For those who served in the military, this is a chance to reconnect in a positive way and an opportunity to reflect on your service.

During this roundtable, we also talk about the importance of visiting, connecting with, and joining community-based veterans service organizations such as the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), the American Legion, and Disabled American Veterans (DAV). These organizations are vital for helping veterans and their families, providing the camaraderie we as veterans miss, and reigniting the purpose we embraced when we served in the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force, Space Force, National Guard, and Reserve.

During this roundtable, we introduce you to four New Hampshire veterans:

Each served in various roles in the military; they all served in a war zone, and each is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), the American Legion, and/or Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
