A major lawsuit accuses social media platforms such as Meta (Facebook), Instagram, YouTube, and several other social media entities of creating platforms that produce addictive algorithms affecting younger Americans. It is in its second week.
The therapist for the plaintiff (who was 13 years old at the start of therapy) recently testified, and the plaintiff and her parents’ testimony is expected soon.
