US News ranks top high schools in New Hampshire

NASHUA, N.H.- U.S. News & World Report released its 2026 to 2027 Best High Schools rankings, with New Hampshire breaking into the top 200 nationally.

This year’s list evaluated about 27,000 public high schools, with 18,000 ranked. To make the determination, six metrics were considered, including results on state-required assessments, graduation rates, and college readiness measures.

New Hampshire ranks 12th in the country for education, based on both higher education and kindergarten through 12th grade

The top-ranked high school in the state is the Academy for Science and Design (ASD), in Nashua which was ranked No. 183 nationally.
