Hillsborough man accused of killing 15 turtles with UTV convicted of animal cruelty

HILLSBOROUGH, N.H.-

78 year old Charles Puccio of Hillsborough has been convicted on charges related to cruelty to wild animals after killing 15 turtles.

NH Fish & Game Officials reported that on June 13, a conservation officer received a report from Hillsborough police of a man on Bog Road who was intentionally running over painted turtles with his UTV.

During their investigation Fish and Game officers report they found 15 painted turtles dead on the road between June 6 and June 12, appearing to have been run over.
