MANCHESTER, N.H. — The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services says a state-wide air quality alert remains in effect Tuesday as smoke from the Canadian wildfires continues to linger across the New Hampshire Skyline.
As a result, officials are reminding those who are sensitive to poor air quality to limit their activities, especially if those activities take place outdoors.
Officials say smoke from the wildfires is expected to remain overhead, for the majority of the day, but expect it to start thinning near the ground by midweek.
