Authorities Investigate the Death of a Fisherman in Hudson

HUDSON, N.H. – New Hampshire State Police -Marine Patrol is investigating the events which led to death of fisherman in Hudson.

According to Police a little before 9:30 Sunday morning first responders answered a 911 call for man who was reported missing after he fell into the water while fishing from shore.

Following a search of the area by Marine Patrol and several other agencies, authorities located the body of 65-year-old John Coutu of Nashau who had passed away by the time authorities found his body.

As the investigation continues, authorities say that Coutu was not wearing a life jacket and that there’s no reason to believe his death should be considered suspicious. Authorities are calling the death accidental.
