CONCORD, N.H.- Gov.Kelly Ayotte has filed to run for reelection in 2026 and isn’t holding back when it comes to her opponent.

Met with cheers from supporters Thursday Gov. Ayotte filed to run for a second term and went out of her way to say her first official opponent Cinide Warmington would not be a good fit for New Hampshire and attacked Warmington by saying if elected Warmington would lead the state to “higher taxes, less freedom and less opportunity, much more the Massachusetts way.

Ayotte also said there’s a dramatic difference between her and Warmington, calling out the former executive councilor for her previous career as an attorney working on behalf of Purdue Pharma.

There’s a dramatic difference between me and my opponent and let me just tell you this, I can’t believe New Hampshire would want to elect an opioid lobbyist to represent New Hampshire in the corner office.

Later in the day Warmington filed and said Ayotte has the lowest approval rating of any Governor in the past 30 years.
