MANCHESTER, N.H.- The State’s Ballot Law Commission heard testimony from representatives of the companies who produced the ballot counting devices used in New Hampshire’s elections out of concerns of just how secure they are.

Monday’s discussion comes after concerns were raised about the machines emitting what’s being described as questionable radio frequencies during the State Primary election this past September along as members of a voting rights group and local officials said each machine amounts to a “black box” that the public has been unable to access; as Al Brandano, a member of the NH Election Integrity Project told the commission “Everything would be put to bed if they just let officials in towns look inside the machines.”

Officials from Voting Works and LHS, the companies that sold the counting devices to the state pushed back and said the machines do not connect to the internet.

As for the concerns raised officials say their was no evdience to support those claims.
