The family of a U.S. Border Patrol agent who was killed in Vermont during a traffic stop near the Canadian border says he was a military veteran in the Air Force who worked security duty at the Pentagon during the time of the Sept. 11 attacks. Authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of Agent Dave Maland that also left a suspect dead and another injured during a traffic stop. A German national in the country was killed and the injured suspect was taken into custody and is being treated at a hospital.
