CONCORD, NH – Authorities say Richard Talbot,63, has been charged with driving while intoxicated after crashing into a New Hampshire State Police cruiser.

Around quarter to eight on Tuesday State Police were on patrol on I-93 in Concord when a Trooper exited I-93 South at Exit 12 North and was yielding at the sign at the end of the off-ramp to merge safely onto Route 3A.  From there police say a silver 2022 Ford Explorer came down the off-ramp, failed to stop, and struck the rear of the Trooper’s cruiser.

Following the accident, driver of the Ford, identified as Talbot, was taken into custody and charged with driving while intoxicated. Neither Talbot, the Trooper or the Police K-9 were injured.
