CONCORD, N.H.- Police are investigating what’s being described as “altercation” during a demonstration along Main Street involving bystanders and a group hiding their identity and carrying black flags with swastikas.

Police say officers responded to a report of a fight around 1:30 Saturday afternoon involving bystanders and around 20 people wearing identical outfits. Videos of the incident posted to social media and shown by WMUR-TV shows demonstrators wearing red shirts with the world “Blustamm,” written on the back, along with masks, black pants, sunglasses and black gloves, carrying the flags. Officials say the word “Blustamm,” which translates to “Blood-tribe” and refers to a group identified by the Southern Law Poverty Center as a Neo-Nazi, White Supremacist group.

According to police no arrests were made, however officials from the New Hampshire Department of Justice Civil Rights tell the Union Leader that they’re monitoring the situation.

The groups appearance in Concord came during a rally organized by the group NH 50501, who’s been demonstrating since President Donald Trump took office in January and left around 2pm just as a separate demonstration, “Race Against the Regime,” began in front of the State House.

Following the group’s appearance Governor Kelly Ayotte issued a statement on the topic to WMUR-TV in which she said, “There is no place for hate groups or their repugnant and disgusting ideology in New Hampshire.” Political leaders from both sides of the isle ranging from the State’s Congressional Delegation down to members of both the NH Republican and Democratic parties condemned the group’s actions.
