Crews work to repair “Significant water leak” at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

MANCHESTER, N.H.– Crews at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard have been working to repair a significant water leak” which led discolored water in the Kittery area.

Officials tell WMUR-TV residents were recently warned about the impacts on their water, such as discoloration.

Shipyard officials say by Sunday afternoon the leak had been stopped and the affected area has been isolated from the rest of the water system and that crews are working on permanent repairs.

This most recent leak is the 2nd in 4-month time span after a similar leak occurred back in April.
