Eighteen people were killed and 13 people were injured Wednesday night in Lewiston, Maine, when a man entered at a bowling alley and a restaurant and opened fire. Police identified 40-year-old Robert Card of Bowdoin, ME, as a suspect in the shootings. For the second day, residents in Lewiston, Lisbon, Bowdoin have been asked to shelter in place while the intense search for Card continues. According to ABC news, more than 80 members of law enforcement searched a home where Card lived in Bowdoin yesterday finding a suicide note written to his son.
Police said he is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. NH State police said there is no known specific threat to New Hampshire in connection with Card, but troopers will remain “vigilant and ready to respond.”
