NOTTINGHAM, N.H.- In a surprise move the developer behind a proposed data center planned for Old Turnpike Road has withdrawn his proposal over growing environmental concerns raised by citizens.

Wednesday’s decision by Thomas Moulton came hours before he was scheduled to appear before the Nottingham Planning Board at the town’s elementary school and present his idea.

As for why he had the sudden change of heart, Moutlon spoke with WMUR-TV and explained how he understands the public’s concern, and that he appreciates the public’s engagement but also noted that he’s keeping the door open on the proposal as he and others gather more information.
