MANCHESTER, N.H- U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon visits the Granite State Thursday as part of her “Returning Education to the States” tour in which she looks to help reconnect the relationship between parents, students and teachers.

Thursday morning the Secretary appeared on WFEA’s the Morning Update with Jeff Chidester where she talked about the endeavor, which looks to remind folks in the community that parents have a right to know what their children are studying and learning about in the classroom and make choosing an education easier for Granite State families.

During the interview McMahon talked about her pending visit to the Manchester area in which she’ll tour a number of schools and meet with both educators, students and parents.

McMahon also spoke about how New Hampshire is among the states that puts families first with its Education Freedom Accounts, Tax Credit Program and town tuition programs which she says helps the state to lead the way in providing more opportunities for families and their right to choose.
