MANCHESTER N.H.- Local Firefighters responded to a fast-moving fire at 355 Merrimack St early Tuesday morning.

Upon arrival, initial crews encountered heavy flames pouring from the first floor, which quickly extended upward into the second floor and the attic.

Firefighters faced several challenges including limited access to the alleyway behind the structure, which was restricted due to downed, live power lines.

All occupants of the home were able to evacuate safely.  The fire ended up displacing a family of four.  The American Red Cross is assisting.

Cause of the fire is under investigation.
