A Kingston Police officer was injured on Wednesday attacked by a dog after he responded to a report that a door-to-door salesman had been bitten by a dog at a residence on Ball Road.
The salesman suffered injuries requiring eight stitches, he declined emergency medical services at the scene and chose to transport himself to seek medical treatment.
A Kingston Police officer who was approaching the residence in order complete the necessary paperwork was bitten three times by the dog.
The officer sought medical treatment for the injuries but, fortunately, did not require stitches. This is the 4th dog attack in Kingston this month. 2 officers have been bitten.
