Gorham Police Chief placed on administrative leave

GORHAM NH

The NH Atty General’s Office is investigating an incident captured on video surveillance that allegedly shows Gorham Police Chief Jimmy Willhoite grabbing a man by the throat and pushing him against a wall.

The incident occurred over the Fourth of July weekend.  The victim came into the Police station to report he was being threatened by another man.

According to Gorham’s Town Manager, the community is taking the allegation of misconduct seriously and have placed the Police Chief on administrative leave.

Willhoite has served as Chief of Police in Gorham since July of 2023, prior to that he spent 29 years on the Dallas Texas Police Department.
