HOOKSETT NH – Hooksett Police responded to the Places You’ll Grow Daycare on the Londonderry Turnpike in Hooksett yesterday for a report of a male armed with a large knife in the parking lot.

Officers arrived and were told he was last seen going across the street. A police K9 was able to track the man to 164 Londonderry Turnpike.

Police arrested 39-year-old Christopher Benoit of Hooksett.  According to police, Benoit admitted to being on the daycare property with the knife but was unable to give a logical reason why.

Benoit was charged with disorderly conduct, Loitering and Prowling, Resisting Arrest and Felon in Possession of a Deadly Weapon.  He is scheduled to appear in court July 9th.

The children at the daycare were quickly escorted inside by employees and all accounted for with no injuries.
