MANCHESTER, N.H.- The retrial of Adam Montgomery in the murder of his 5-year-old daughter, Harmony, will take place in about a year, that’s the decision reached out of a recent scheduling hearing.

On Monday lawyers for Montgomery and the state appeared before a judge in Hillsborough County Superior Court, where the two sides agreed to retry the case in October of 2027.

The two sides now have 30 days to get a proposed schedule with the October 2027 start date to the judge.

The move comes after the New Hampshire Supreme Court overturned Montgomery’s murder conviction in June after a judge ruled that Montgomery should have had separate trials for murder and assault charges.
