MANCHESTER,N.H.- New Hampshire residents will soon see an increase to the electric bills as companies adjust their energy supply rates.

Officials say starting August 1st the average user could see an increase of about $15 per-month.

The move comes as utility companies adjust their supply rates twice a year, in February and August, and say they can’t control the rates because they’re based on the market, saying they make no profits on them.

Out of this news Governor Kelly Ayotte released a statement on the matter expressing her disappointment with the move and says she’s “disappointed but not surprised that utility companies continue to refuse to work with the state to lower costs.
