NEWPORT, N.H.- Police say a man is dead and a woman has been hospitalized with a gunshot wound following an incident at a home on Putnam Road.
Tuesday night around 6:45 p.m. police responded to report that someone had been shot and found an unidentified woman who had been shot multiple times.
Following the discovery police say the woman was transported an area hospital, and is listed in critical, but stable condition.
As for the details in what led to the shooting, police say that’s the subject of an ongoing investigation; but note that there is no threat to the public.
