New Hampshire State Police arrest Portsmouth man after car and foot pursuit


PORTSMOUTH, NH -State Police say a man is custody out of a chase Thursday afternoon.

According to investigators troopers attempted to stop a vehicle headed north on the Route 1 bypass, however the driver continued north before turning onto Hodgdon Way.

The vehicle entered a neighborhood near Shearwater Drive and was later abandoned on Blue Heron Drive, with the driver then fleeing on foot.

The driver identified as Deshawn White, 24, of Portsmouth was then located in Dover thanks to efforts of a Police K9 officer and taken into custody.

White is charged with Reckless Conduct with a Deadly Weapon and Operating as a Habitual Offender.
