CONCORD, N.H.- Speaker of the New Hampshire House Sherman Packard, R-Londonderry says he’s stepping down from his position at the end of his current term.
Sherman made the announcement as lawmakers were deliberating a number of bills.
The decision from the 77-year-old comes after he took over the position following the passing of Dick Hinch who died from COVID.
Prior to being named speak Packard served as chair of the House Transportation Committee.
