MANCHESTER, N.H.- Secretary of State Dave Scanlan says he expects around 28% of registered voters will cast a ballot in Tuesday’s primary election.
On Thursday Scanlan discussed the pending primary and noted that as of August 10, 2026, there were 888,475 people in the Granite State who have registered to vote.
Scanlan believes 145,751 Republicans and 103,024 Democrats will cast ballots on Tuesday.
The Secretary is reminding folks that those folks planning to vote will need to present proof of identity, age, citizenship and domicile when picking up a ballot.
Following concerns and rumors over the possibility of ICE Agents being stationed at the polls Scanlan says he’s had no indication from authorities that agents would be getting involved; however, Scanlan noted that Federal Election observers are expected in both Manchestr and Nashua.
