MANCHESTER, N.H.- A man fleeing from State Police is dead after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday night while trying to cross I-93 on foot.

Authorities say around 11:45 p.m. Troopers attempted to stop a Toyota Camry seen headed north at more than 100 miles an hour which ended up crashing at the Hanover Street Connector.

As troopers approached the scene, they witnessed the driver running from the crash and heading towards the interstate who then climbed over the embankment and entered the northbound lanes on foot only to be struck by an on-coming vehicle.

According to State Police the driver of the Hyundai identified as Jakob Cadorette, then pulled over and called 911, as he waited for First Responders to arrive. Once on scene authorities were able to determine the person hit was in fact the man who had been running from Police.

State Police note that Cadorette was not injured in the crash and is cooperating with authorities, meanwhile authorities are withholding the name of the deceased pending notification of family.
