University System to cover tuition for eligible students under “New Hampshire Promise” program

MANCHESTER, N.H.- Starting next fall the University System of New Hampshire will cover tuition for eligible in-state students from families making up to $100,000 per year.

The move is part of the “New Hampshire Promise” program which would cover full-time first-year students and qualifying transfers at the University of New Hampshire, Plymouth State University and Keene State College.

University system officials say the program will eventually replace the “Granite Guarantee” program, and students will remain tuition-free for as long as they’re eligible.

Officials also note that the those interested in applying for the program, won’t have to do fill out any extra paperwork in order to be eligible, as they’ll

Interested students however won’t need to apply for the program. They will be automatically considered when they fill out their FAFSA information.
