Utility companies are preparing for an elevated risk of power outages. Eversource says it’s prepared to send northern crews farther south to help if weather-related issues stretch resources. All the utility providers are encouraging their customers to report outages and emergencies as soon as they occur and if you come across a downed power line, stay as far away as possible.
