MANCHESTER, N.H.- A woman who suffers from asthma has filed a lawsuit against the state over its choice to end motor vehicle inspections over concerns about air quality.

According to the lawsuit filed this week Marilyn Jonas says the state’s decision is a violation of the federal Clean Air Act and that New Hampshire should find another way to regulate those car emissions.

In her suit Jonas is asking a judge to force the state to immediately reinstate the inspection program in some capacity.

Jonas is the latest to sue the state, after Gordon-Darby the state who had been running the state’s testing program sued New Hampshire on a nearly identical claim.
