MANCHESTER, N.H.- A woman who claims she was raped more than 100 times while being held at a group home in Deerfield back in the 1990s has filed a lawsuit, which says State officials knew they were placing her with a predator.

According to court documents, Kristy Gesse publicly identified herself as part of her efforts to raise awareness about her story.

Gesses says after being placed at the Saddleback Mountain Retreat, she was repeatedly raped and abused by the owner Peter Tsetsilas and that her caseworker only visited her at the home one time during her four-month stay.

During that time Gesses says that Tsetsilas reported her as a runaway and that he actually hid her at a motel in Concord for almost a month where the abuse continued.

On Monday jurors toured the now closed home as part of what is believed to be a three-week trial over a Gesse’s lawsuit against the state in which she alleges she was placed there with little oversight.

Tsetsilas died back in 1995 and was also convicted of crimes against Gesses.

In response to the suit State officials maintained that they can’t take responsibility for the actions of a private citizen at a private facility.
