Wrong Way Driver in Franconia

A Massachusetts man is accused of driving the wrong way on Interstate 93 through Franconia Notch. Officials said troopers spotted the driver heading towards them in the high-speed lane and attempted to stop him. State police said the driver, identified as 62-year-old Ronald Lerned of Lowell, Massachusetts, later pulled over after nearly hitting another vehicle. Officials said Lerned was arrested and charged with reckless conduct, driving after revocation or suspension, third offense DWI and disobeying a police officer.
