Since taking control of the of every part of the Virginia State government, the 2026 legislative session began just over a week ago, and already the Democrat-controlled House and Senate have proposed expanded taxes on property improvements, lodging, event admission, employee benefits, equipment and electric generators, plastic bags, fantasy football, firearm suppressors, local sales, income, and investments. Hardly a middle-class friend tax approach.
